PRF- Platelet Rich Fibrin
What is platelet rich fibrin (PRF)?
PRF a newer generation of PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma, a revolutionary all natural solution used to treat common concerns of ageing and hair loss that can be used in a variety of treatments to regenerate collagen and reverse the signs of ageing.
How does PRF work?
PRF involves taking a small blood sample. which is then spun in a centrifuge on slow cycle. This then separates the blood into red blood cells and platelet rich fibrin which is a concentration of growth factors and cells which is then injected in various areas depending on the concern (under eyes, skin or hair) to help regenerate growth, promote collagen production and aid in wound healing.
How does PRF differ from PRP?
PRF is 100% natural treatment in comparison PRP which contains the added anticoagulant. PRF is the new revolutionised version of PRP. The difference between PRP and PRF lies predominantly in how your blood is collected and spun.
In PRP is spun at a much higher rate in the centrifuge, therefore, most of the cells—white cells, stem cells, blood cells, etc, are kept at the bottom of the tube and the lighter cells, the platelets, are kept in the serum and the top level after spinning. PRF, on the other hand, is spun at a slower rate, so a lot of the white cells, stem cells, and platelets are kept in the top layers of the post-centrifuge tube, while the red cells will make their way down to the bottom. That is what is injected into the tissues, as opposed to just platelets and serum
The absence of an anticoagulant in the tube allows the formation of a spongy, gel-like product rich in platelets, stem cells, growth factors, and fibrin that can be injected into the skin to address signs of aging, hair loss, or skin healing. The process for PRF preserves the platelets and fibrin, key components in skin and hair rejuvenation, both improving collagen and elastin within the skin
Which areas can we treat with PRF?
Hair loss
Under eye dark circles
Full face
Neck
Décolletage
What are the main benefits of PRF?
The main benefit of PRF is that it employs your body’s own cells in a way to promote the health of your skin
Uses your body's own cells, so 100% natural
Can potentially treat under-eye circles
Can potentially decrease wrinkles
Minimal risk of side effects
